WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES
Western Cape NACOSA (Networking Aids Community of South Africa) partially funded our initial set-up and provided the foundation for two years of capacity building. They are available to us for advice. We have two volunteers who attended the financial training and HIV counselling course. Our activities are driven by volunteers and the pastors of the member churches.

Two volunteers are paid a stipend for administration and HIV counselling. All other funding goes to the programmes we run.

Over 150 local young people participated in our projects last year (2008).

We have a three year track record, and can provide monthly reports as required. We hold audited financial reports that are presented at the Annual General Meeting.

You can be assured that your donation will reach the intended project.

WANTED - KNITTING NEEDLES AND WOOL!

We need donations of knitting needles (especially size 5 and 6mm) and double knitting yarn. Any colour – the more and brighter the merrier! A workshop is starting in the new school term for young people between the ages of 13 and 18 who are interested in learning how to knit.

Please could you drop the materials off at the NG Kerk offices between 9am and 1pm, Monday to Friday.

The weekly workshops will be run by volunteers. Each child will get individual attention and encouragement as their skills improve.

The workshops are part of Bidgroep van Uniondale Interkerklike Gemeenskap (BUIG)’s ongoing work in the community, particularly with after-school activities for young people. We rely on donations of money, facilities, materials and people's own time to make our projects succeed.
